The extension of the senior high school by 18 classrooms was resolved by building a new curved main building alongside the existing building. The form of the new building stands in contrast to the austere architecture of the old school building. The space in between the buildings is used as a large common hall allowing to considerably improve the spatial quality of the existing school. The classrooms on the ground floor provide space for special installations and face onto inside patio courtyards. A multifunctional hall serves both the school and the town of Rohrbach.
