The clearly delimited prismatic building encloses the city hall and conference centre in one space and hence makes an effective contribution to give a new orientation to the garish and over-diversified exhibition areas. The new Hall 1 takes a privileged position amongst the various adjoining halls and asserts itself through its formal, discreet, reduced architectural vocabulary. All four façades of the hall are made of printed glass, representing the image of a group of people, a kind of mirror of the crowd inside. The functional groups, conference centre and hall are clearly separate areas, linked via the main foyer.
