The site in the centre of Krakow is 220 m long and 42 m wide. Together with the University Library on the opposite side, the transparent facades of the new building form a pedestrian street easily accessible from the adjoining shopping streets. This new public area offers open stages integrated into the ground floor. The complex is arranged vertically: a 2-storey underground car park, two storeys of shops, cafés and restaurants, two storeys of cinemas. Inspired by the structure of the old town, the ground and first floors are fragmented. The unifying volume of the cinemas, over the whole length of the site, is distinguished from the rest of the building, which, along with its blue glass facade, gives the building its special character.
